The Original Gold's Gym

Gold's Gym is featured in several companies' development portfolios, from which you can learn a little more about their operations:

  • Gold's Gym moved their IT to a Citrix thin-client solution to save money and manage their IT centrally. Their primary motivation appears to be cost savings, from bandwidth to the two-part timers they now use to run their Citrix systems.
  • Additionally, Gold's Gym chose Wyse to supply their thin clients, which can be locked down to prevent theft and misuse. They also mention the 64k frame relay, as before.
  • In 2004, Gold's Gym redesigned and rebranded their website. Their designers boast, "This allows the sites to be fully customized while staying within templates that enforce the worldwide Gold's brand."
  • Gold's Gym recently used Avaya IP Office to cut their telecommunications costs.
