The billing for Gold's gym used to be handled by Conexion LLC, who would charge your credit card once per month. However, they no longer handle accounts. Billing, as of February 2006, is handled by Aphelion, who collect dues and send out lateness notifications. A late charge of $10 per month is added for missing payments, accompanied by the following ominous notice:

This statement reflects your current contractual PAST DUE balance. Failure to act on this notice will cause your account to be referred to our collection agency.

If anyone has more information to add, please do so here.

In Virginia they are now using ABC billing as of July 2006. However the billing department continues to remove more than my contracted amount from my checking account.
