Misfiled Requests: I wish to file a complaint against Gold's Gym in Carrollton, GA. I purchased a membership there in march of 2005 with every intention of honoring that. However, I have since had mounting issues with Exercise induced Asthma. When I called the gym to talk to someone about cancelling my membership they stated that I had to have a letter from my doctor stating that I had exercise nduced asthma. I complied and brought the letter to them withing a few days. They refused to cancel my contract stating that I had to prove total disability. I have talked to several people and have tried to call the Corporate offices who won't do anything since this is a franchise. It would appear that Gold's gym is more concerned about their botto dollar thant he well being and best interest of their clientelle. I would think that a business that is supposedly in the health and fitness business would be more concerned about a client's health issues.
